Raising a baby to become a smart learner requires early experiences that shapes and strengthens these brain pillars the right way.

However, many parents have made these common mistakes when developing their baby’s brain…

3 Typical Misconceptions That Parents Have About Raising A Smart Baby

Myth #1

Listening to Mozart Will Make My Baby Smarter!

2

DEBUNKED: Studies have debunked this prevalent myth and found no evidence that listening to classical music raises a baby’s intelligence. Rather than just passively listening to classical music, pairing songs with rhythmic movement or singing along is more beneficial as it helps your baby to develop body-mind harmony, linguistic understanding, and right-left brain linkage.

Myth #2

Developing My Baby’s Right Brain Is More Important!

3

DEBUNKED: Both the left and right brain are equally important, and parents should not develop one side of the brain while neglecting the other. Instead of just focusing on the 2 hemispheres alone, parents also need to be aware that there are in fact, 5 core brain pillars that need to be developed in balance for whole brain fitness.

Myth #3

My Baby Is Too Young
to Learn.

4

Contrary to this belief, studies have proven that the period from birth to three years is one of the most critical phase of development for the brain. During this time, it is important to provide your baby with sensory experiences that stimulate and shape the brain. So, start making the most out of your baby’s golden years today!

Instead of following these unfounded myths, come and learn the proven science-based approach to develop your baby’s brain effectively!

Building solid foundations for auditory brain fitness, language and reading

A baby’s auditory brain fitness governs the ability to process sound information, aiding in the development of speech, language and future reading skills. While early learning utilises the visual brain system heavily, the learning and critical thinking demanded from school shifts to a heavier auditory mode as a child moves up through the levels.

Strengthening a child’s auditory brain fitness and language development in the early years can provide a learning advantage for future learning success.

Rapid auditory processing

Processing language is one of the fastest tasks required of our brains. Without adequate speed, listening becomes more effortful and potentially inaccurate, creating challenges with language development, reading, paying attention and grasping information quickly.

A baby’s auditory brain experiences rapid development in the first few months of life and continues to develop as a toddler acquires speech and language skills.

Phonological processing

In order to be a strong reader through life, solid phonological awareness and processing is critical. While children typically learn to read between 4 to 6 years of age, the auditory and visual foundations necessary for strong phonological processing and reading is being built over the early years.
